AFT scoring standards by event and age

Browse the full points-to-performance scale for any event, age group, and column. MC = Male / Combat MOS (sex-neutral); F = Female (general). Values are transcribed verbatim from the official scales effective 1 June 2025.

3-Rep Max Deadlift
Max 100Pass · 60

Only the passing range (60–100 points) is shown. Scoring below 60 in any single event is an automatic fail, so sub-passing tiers are omitted — the official Sprint-Drag-Carry scale itself stops at the 60-point mark. The calculator scores your actual entries against the full official tables; results slower or lighter than the 60-point standard score below passing.

What is the Army Fitness Test (AFT)?

The Army Fitness Test (AFT) is the U.S. Army's physical fitness test of record. It was approved on 15 May 2025 and took effect on 1 June 2025, replacing the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT). The AFT keeps five events, each scored from 0 to 100 for a maximum total of 500 points.

Your score for each event depends on your age group and your standard. This AFT calculator looks every value up directly in the official table — nothing is estimated, rounded, or made up.

Army Fitness Test FAQ

Is the AFT the same as the ACFT?

The AFT replaced the ACFT on 1 June 2025. It keeps the same five-event, 500-point structure, so many people still search for an “ACFT calculator.” This tool uses the current 2025 AFT scoring scales.

How does AFT scoring work?

Your raw result for each event is looked up in the official table for your age group and column. Strength and endurance events (deadlift, push-ups) score higher with a bigger number; the timed runs (sprint-drag-carry, two-mile run) score higher with a faster time; the plank scores higher the longer you hold. Each event is worth 0 to 100 points, and the calculator always awards the highest point tier your result reaches.

What is a passing AFT score?

You must score at least 60 in each of the five events and reach the total minimum for your standard — 350 for Combat MOS or 300 for General. Any event below 60 is an automatic fail.

What's the difference between the Combat and General standard?

The Combat MOS standard is sex-neutral, uses the MC column, and requires a 350 total. The General standard requires a 300 total and uses the MC column for men and the F column for women.

How is the Sprint-Drag-Carry scored?

SDC is timed, and faster is better. The official scale only goes down to the 60-point tier — if your time is slower than the 60-point standard for your age and column, you score 0 and fail that event.

What is the body fat exemption?

A total AFT score of 465 or higher exempts you from the Army Body Composition Program (body fat) assessment. This calculator highlights it once you cross 465.

Is this AFT calculator's data official?

Yes. Every score and threshold is looked up directly from the official AFT scoring scales effective 1 June 2025 — nothing is estimated or rounded. This site is an unofficial tool and is not affiliated with the U.S. Army.
